01 / Context

Problem / opportunity

Working professionals hold practical expertise, but one-to-one services limit how that expertise can be packaged and discovered.

The hypothesis: one professional can serve different learner needs through multiple formats without fragmenting the experience.

All evidence shown, including the creator dashboard, is prototype UI — not proof of live payments or production marketplace operations.

02 / Ownership

What I owned

  1. 01Defined the relationship between learners, professionals, and service formats.
  2. 02Mapped discovery through evaluation, preview, enrollment, booking, or reservation.
  3. 03Kept browsing public and gated only higher-commitment actions.
  4. 04Built a prototype to test product structure—not to imply marketplace scale.

03 / System

System / product architecture

01

Courses

Structured, self-directed learning.

02

Workshops

Scheduled live group experiences.

03

Private instruction

Focused one-to-one guidance.

  1. 01

  2. 02

    Search + filter

  3. 03

    Evaluate

  4. 04

    Preview

  5. 05

    Enroll / book / reserve

One connected decision journey supports three ways to package the same professional expertise.

1

Discovery and filtering lead into course and instructor evaluation.

2

A mock lesson player tests the learning journey before enrollment.

3

Progressive commitment keeps browsing open and account-gates enrollment, booking, and reservation.

04 / Evidence

Product evidence

SkillCrew prototype homepage hero with a hands-on learning marketplace search, Explore Courses call to action, and verified-instructor badge.
Prototype evidence / 01The prototype introduces a local-service marketplace around practical skills, with discovery centered on courses, instructors, and workshops.
Instructor discovery page with industry filters and instructor cards showing specialty, rating, review count, and location.
Prototype evidence / 02A searchable professional directory makes expertise, specialty, location, reviews, and credibility visible before a learner commits.
Workshops and events page with in-person and virtual workshop cards showing price, date, time, location, spots left, and Reserve Spot buttons.
Prototype evidence / 03In-person and virtual workshops add a second service format alongside self-paced courses, with price, date, location, capacity, and reservation entry points.
Creator dashboard with revenue, student, course, and rating metrics plus course and workshop management rows and creation entry points.
Prototype evidence / 04The creator dashboard extends the concept to the supply side with course management, workshop management, learner counts, ratings, revenue signals, and creation entry points.

05 / Outcome

What changed

The prototype made the business hypothesis tangible: one professional, three formats, and one coherent path from interest to commitment.

It does not claim shipped payments, verification, creator publishing, production video infrastructure, or marketplace scale.

Let's discover what's possible.
